Information We Collect and How It's Used

Shopper ID

When you first arrive at our site, we assign you a Shopper ID and store that on your computer as a cookie. This is used to keep track of your shopping basket. If you have disabled cookies in your browser, you can still browse our store and place an order online, but you won't be able to store your preferences or check your order status online and your shopping basket will empty each time you close your browser window. When you login to our site to access password protected areas, such as your online order status, we also set a security cookie that lasts as long as your browser is running. This keeps us from having to request your password for each protected page that you access.

Your Preferences

Your preferences, for example, how many products are displayed on one page, will be stored as cookies on your computer so that we can remember your settings for future visits to our site.

Order Form

To process your order, we require your name, billing address, phone number, email address, shipping address and credit card information. We use this information solely to process your order and, if any questions should arise, to contact you about your order. We share this information, and only that information which is absolutely necessary, with those third parties that are involved in the processing of your order. For example, the financial institution that issued your credit card and the shipping carrier that delivers your order.

In addition to the information you provide, we automatically record your IP address when you place an order to help us detect fraudulent activity. We may share this with the financial institution that issued the credit card with which an order was placed, or with law enforcement authorities, current judicial proceeding, a court order, legal process served on our Web site or if we determine use of the credit card was fraudulent.

We use your email address to send you a reply and we will retain your message only for later referral should you ever decide to contact us again. Your message and email address remain confidential unless you specifically give us permission otherwise.

Logs

Your IP address, browser type and all pages that you access are logged for site administrative purposes. In addition, we log the URL of the page that referred you to the Lingerie Blowout site. This information is deleted on a daily basis and only totals, which contain no personally identifiable information, are kept beyond that time period. For example, when we delete the log at the end of each day, any record of which pages you visited is gone forever.

Sharing of Information and Unsolicited Communications

Aside from the previously mentioned third parties involved in the processing of your order, we do not share your personally identifiable information with any other entities. In addition, we will not send you any communications that you do not explicitly request from us. For example, the only way for you to receive our email alerts is if you choose to subscribe to our newsletter, either through the form on our home page by checking the appropriate box during the ordering process.

We utilize industry SSL encryption when accepting your credit card information during our online checkout process. In addition, we utilize the same encryption standard when transferring your credit card data to our internal payment gateway system.

We have also taken the appropriate security measures to safeguard your personal information after it has been transferred to our fulfillment system. For example, our computer network is password protected, it is inaccessible via the Internet and paper copies, if any, are shredded before disposal.

Notification of Changes to our Privacy Policy

If we are going to use your personally identifiable information in a manner different from that stated at the time of collection we will notify you via email. You will have a choice as to whether or not we use your information in this different manner. In addition, if we make any material changes in our privacy practices that do not affect user information already stored in our database, we will post a prominent notice on our web site notifying users of the change.
